Greater LA is building a grassroots coalition of progressive Los Angeles-based individuals and organizations committed to social justice, housing affordability, sustainable land use, green infrastructure, and economic development. While we have started as an effort to defeat a narrow-minded and backward-focused ballot measure, we are founded in the belief that Los Angeles both possesses the progressive leadership to be a leader in sustainable growth, but to do so in a way that builds off of what makes this place so great while embracing new and innovative approaches to our most vexing challenges.
Greater LA advances collaborative approaches to provide creative, context-sensitive solutions for the environmental, housing, economic, transportation, and health challenges that vex our region. We seek to accomplish this through cross-disciplinary dialogues, public forums, media, research and analysis, and social gatherings that engage people from across the LA region.
